SQUADRON Shaving Cream Red Lead 125g
Squadron

All Squadron soaps are made by hand and manufactured in small batches. great soap, at an affordable price, with 'old school' ingredients like Tallow and Lanolin.
A manly classic mix of nutmeg, lemon, star anise with middle notes of geranium, cinnamon, musk and tonka bean. Quite simply this is our interpretation of Old Spice, and we think it's pretty damn close.
Each tub contains a minimum of 125g. Cost per gram: 0.199c

Red Lead
The initial smell was a little off putting but red lead it proved too have a good slickness and the scent, post shave was awesome and went well with old spice aftershave.
Great Shave, Terrible Scent
As a shave soap, it's up there with some of the best and I can not fault it. It lather's easily and provides a very good cushion against the blade. However, that's where it ended as the scent was terrible. I can only think that the scent had morphed sometime in the batch prep. I would recommend this soap because as my wife is a soap maker, I know things can go wrong in the making and sometimes the scent doesn't always come out the way it should but that should have been picked up in quality control.

Old Spice with a spice kick
Squadron always produces a rich yogurty lather for me. IMO this take on the 1938 Shulton Old Spice scent is just a bit of spice away from a very close clone, but the extra spice gives it a more modern spicy scent. The performance of Squadron soaps never fails me and has great slickness, cushion and protection, the equal of many other quality Artisans.
