The chunky design of the Cobbled Closed Comb Safety Bar plate allows a large blade exposure, while the heavily vented top cap accumulates lather and helps to glide through the stubble.
The Grill is for those shavers who have plenty of experience with DE Razors, Shavettes & Straight Razors.

Safety Razor Maintenance
It is also recommended to take out the razor blade after each shave, this will release any build up of soap and stubble. Having a magnet handy is a great way to keep your razor blades between shaves.

When my DE blade of choice was no longer available, a few that I tried did not work well with the mild heads of my DE89 and King Gillette razors. I purchased an SS with the standard head. I wanted to give myself the flexibility in case I needed a more aggressive head. This head is a little too aggressive for my old DE blade for every day use. I will go back to the standard head for every day.

I love aggressive razors and even though the YAQI Grill Open Comb Head is not the most aggressive razor I've found, it is a close second. Then when you consider the price, it is one of the best purchases out there.
